Republican Primary: March, 3rd

Robert Chick for tx-26

raised in the 26th, proud to represent it

Texans demand action

A Republican for all;
A Texan first.

America's Problems have American Solutions

  1. Make the American Dream attainable for working Americans

  2. End the division in America

  3. Bring government accountability back to the American people

What I stand for:

Accessibility & Transparency to TX-26 constituents

Anti-Corruption

Americans are hungry for answers and it's my job to deliver.

I don't work for anyone other than you. My constituents come first above all else.

My duty is to make your voice heard, not spend my time chasing cable news interviews. That means being readily available to hear your views on issues, how you want me to vote on legislation, and problems I can help solve. A representative should serve their entire constituency as the Founding Fathers intended, not just those who voted for them or contributed to their campaign fund. My duty is to represent you, not lobbyists or party-line talking points.

Investment in America's Youth

American homes belong to American families.

We've allowed the American Dream (owning a home, starting a family, becoming strong communities) to be sold out from underneath our feet. When foreign & domestic billionaire investors compete with families for homes, prices rise and first-time buyers get squeezed out. It also increases your property taxes. Our generation's youth, without a stake in our country, won’t invest in it's future. We need to focus on giving our nation's youth a shot at participating in the American Dream.

Ban Omnibus Bills

Processes that serve to confuse and discourage accountability in our representatives must end.

Omnibus bills, large packages that bundle thousands of spending items into a single measure, undermine accountability. By allowing unrelated provisions to ride along, they enable measures that would not pass on their own. Their complexity obscures the trade-offs for voters and gives representatives cover to support provisions they would otherwise oppose.

Texas Leads the Way

Washington doesn't run Texas, Texans do.

Texans have always been independent and paved our own way. Local control and fiscal responsibility are core Texas values. I’ll press Washington for flexibility, block one-size-fits-all mandates, and invest where Texans see results: right here at home.

First Responder Designation for Dispatchers

911 Dispatchers need as much support as we have to offer. We need to expand federal First Responder designation to cover them.

Law enforcement leaders have spoken and I'm listening: Dispatchers deserve to have federal recognition as first responders. Every call they take is someone's worst day of their life and that is a difficult job. Let's give them the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

Americans are losing faith in the institutions that made this country strong. Concentrated media power, unlimited lobbying budgets, and unequal accountability have left people feeling powerless and enriched the very officials elected to serve. We'll restore trust by investigating corruption and holding every offender to account, including those who take the kickbacks. This country belongs to the people, not to special interests and their lobbyists.

Ending the Culture War

Anyone can throw a punch. It takes a vision win. We need to be focusing on conversation and conversion, not condemnation. Let's trade outrage for outcomes.

If we aim to shape culture, we must start with hearts & minds of the youth: giving them a hopeful vision of America’s future. "Owning the libs" isn't a winning strategy. Meeting people where they're at and offering them an attainable vision of the American Dream is. It's in understanding that we can begin to love, and it's in loving thy neighbor we grow closer to the Lord.

Division in America

We're countrymen, not enemies. We must come together today, with solutions, to face the problems of tomorrow.

Troubling times are ahead. The impact of AI on our economy, the consolidation of power in the hands of a few, and chronic underinvestment in our youth are the most consequential threats to our national security. To solve these and other problems, we need to come together on a clear, actionable vision for America’s future, so We the People keep control of it.

Remove foreign influence in American institutions

No more blank checks abroad; it's time to start investing in prosperity at home.

It’s unacceptable to underwrite foreign governments while Americans struggle at home. Over the last two decades, we've spent trillions helping foreign countries while students fall behind, bridges crumble, and American citizens suffer. We need strong leadership to end undue foreign influence, impose strict accountability on every dollar spent, and put American citizens first.

Smart Immigration policies

We need smart, effective policies that stop illegal immigration while protecting the rights of American citizens.

Texas will secure the border and protect the civil liberties of those here lawfully. Enforcement must be targeted, lawful, and accountable. Indiscriminate arrests by federal agents operating in our state violate Texas values and risk our constitutional rights. We can apprehend and remove those here unlawfully while upholding due process and rejecting cruelty.

Day One Priorities

Texas has enough talkers; we need problem-solvers. I'm no here to do cable news interviews or tweet about who we need to blame. That's what influencers do.

I'm here to get the job done.

Property Taxes / Homeownership

Problem: 1)Your property taxes & 2) the American Dream (owning a home, starting a family, building strong communities) is unattainable to the average working 25-year old.

Solution: Ban foreign and domestic business entities from owning single-family homes, an exploit that artificially inflates home valuations (and your property taxes) and blocks young Americans from buying their first home. American homes belong to American families.

Affordability

Problem: Roughly 80% of your local grocery shelf is controlled by 4 or fewer multinational corporations.

Ex. Coffee - J.M. Smucker, Starbucks, JAB, Kraft Heinz
Beef - Tyson, Cargill, JBS, National Beef.

Solution: First, we need to stop propping up multi-billion-dollar firms with government subsidies. Next, aggressively enforce antitrust laws and break up lawbreakers. Real competition in the aisle is how we cut prices at checkout.

Keeping Texan's tax dollars in Texas

Problem: In 2024, Texas paid $68 billion in net positive remittances to the U.S. Federal government. That means we paid $68 billion more than what we received.

Solution: Texas taxes need to be going towards giving homeowners tax breaks, building roads & infrastructure, and investing in Texas towns to make them more beautiful & prosperous. I'll win the fight to keep more Texas tax dollars in Texan's pockets. It’s time D.C. started picking up its own tab

Govt. Accountability / Transparency

Problem: Money in politics has made elected officials more accountable to lobbyists and foreign governments than to their own constituents.

Solution: I will never solicit nor accept any donations for any reason both in my campaign and in my tenure serving as your representative. I never want there to be a single doubt in my constituents about who I work for. I'll also work with Congressman Thomas Massie to overturn the Obama-era Supreme Court ruling in Citizen's United v. FEC.

Denton County VA Hospital & Federal Courthouse

Problem: Denton County is the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or a federal courthouse.

Solution: Where Denton County goes, Texas follows and where Texas goes, America follows. Yet we are the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or federal courthouse. My Day One priority is securing both, bringing vital services  to our veterans, generating jobs for our residents, and long-overdue recognition & prestige to Denton County.

Division in America

Problem: While we've been trying to score points on social media, the working American's quality of life has gotten worse.

Solution: When we start solving America's problems with American solutions, Americans win & we can usher in a new era of American politics; one where parties compete to improve lives, not frighten hearts.

Keeping TX-26 Red

Problem: It's no secret: we have an uphill battle coming in midterms.  It's not Republicans or Democrats who decide general elections, it's independent voters. And those same people are tired of the finger-pointing, the broken promises, & the divisive rhetoric from both sides.

Solution: The quiet majority of Texans are ready to turn the page on the era of outrage, come together, and work on a future where Texan's can own a home and raise a family without being taxed out of their neighborhood. By focusing on affordability and problem-solving instead of finger-pointing & division, we can win back voters in the middle & keep TX-26 a happily red district in the 2026 midterms.

TX-26 Issues & Solutions

You're talking. I'm listening.

Insurance Transparency

You deserve an answer as to why your insurance premiums continue to rise year after year. I intend to get you one.

Investment in youth homeownership in Texas

We need to invest in our nation's youth with purpose.

Americans are fed up with rising premiums and the lack of transparency about where your money goes. It's time to get down to the bottom of this issue and get you some answers.

Support Texas Community Hospitals

Hospitals provide communities a critical service. They can't be allowed to close because of bureaucrats in Washington.

Small community hospitals across the country are under attack due to reckless budgetary cuts from the federal government. I'm going to fight to get our hospitals the federal money they need to continue healing lives.

Eliminating Social Security Tax

You've earned it. You get to keep it.

Taxes on Social Security generated roughly $55 billion dollars in 2024. While that may seem like a lot, it's a paltry sum compared to the entire United States budget. While individuals over 65 can now claim a $6,000 deduction, why should the elderly have to chase benefits that they've earned? I'll bring legislature to the floor of Congress that protects fixed income from government greed.

In order keep Texas' economy and community dynamics strong, we need to focus on making sure the American Dream is attainable for the youth who are willing to work for it. I'll advocate for first-time homeowner incentives with reasonable borrowing terms so young Americans everywhere can start families and contribute positively to the communities they call home.

Texas Electricity
& Water Allocation

Texas resources to Texans, not out-of-state cryptocurrency miners and datacenters.

There have been far too many examples of big corporate entities coming to Texas, chasing sweetheart tax-exemptions, to drain our beautiful waterways and jack up electricity prices for their profit. I'll fight to bring legislation that protects communities from corporate raiders and puts the power back in the hands of citizens.

Private and Public Education

We have the money to fund the choices parents want to make.

We must refuse the false dichotomy of whether to fund private or public education in our state. There's enough money to properly fund both; the problem is how it's being spent currently. I pledge to fight so we don't fall into a tiered education system while also allowing parents the freedom to choose where and how their children are educated.

Denton County VA Hospital / Federal Courthouse

Denton County is the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or a federal courthouse.

It's said that where Denton County goes, Texas follows and where Texas goes, America follows. We are the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or a federal courthouse. My Day 1 priority will be bringing these valuable services for our veterans, job creation for our citizens, and prestige for our county right where they belong: Denton County.

Ways to support:

Show the country we can run campaigns based on solutions, not money. Vote for me March 3rd.

I'll never ask for campaign contributions nor will I seek money from any organization, business interest, or other groups. The best way to support is a referral to neighbors, friends, or family who might share our vision of a better American future.

  • Organize gatherings of any size for me to speak at.

  • Introduce your network to our campaign.

  • Host events at your business, home or church.

  • Help me reach out to all constituents in TX-26 by knocking on doors, endorsing me on your social media or telling your friends & family about me.

Voter Resources

More powerful than a bullet, silent like a whisper. Your vote is your voice.

Republican Primary: March, 3rd

How to vote in a Texas primary election:

Texas has open primaries, meaning voting in a primary is fairly simple & straightforward.

1. Go to your nearest polling station on March 3rd, 2026

2. Inform the polling agent or official in charge which party you'd like to vote for.

3. Cast your vote.

Things to note: By law, you cannot vote in two different parties' primary elections in the same calendar year. This only applies to primary elections.

About me:

I graduated from Sanger High School, where I proudly live. I attended college at Texas State University, proud alma mater of Lyndon B. Johnson.

I've worked as a mechanic, a bouncer, an office supply salesmen, & now i own my own small business, advocating on behalf of nurses & other healthcare workers.

I've failed more times than I can count, like a lot of Americans. But I've always been so incredibly proud of the resilience of the American spirit that dwells in each of us. We do not accept problems; we solve them.

America's best times are still ahead us, I believe that with my whole heart. But we need to start solving the problems we have in our country. That's not going to happen with cable news clips, division, or rage-baiting each other. It happens with bold ideas, leaders with the will to execute them, and a clear vision of a better American future for all Americans.

To my constituents: I stand for you, I fight for you, and I'll win for you.
